Images in revolt: The photo exhibition

The culmination of the Capturing Voices project was the photography exhibition, an event that gathered and shared the participants’ work with the local community. After days of exploration and shooting, the young photographers selected the most significant images, working on their presentation and the concept of the exhibition.

The show, set up at the Caffè Letterario Arte Espressa, transformed the space into a temporary art gallery, where the images told stories of everyday life, resistance, and hope. The goal was not only to display beautiful photographs but to create a dialogue between those who took the photos and those who observed them, highlighting different perspectives on Casapesenna and its community.

The event represented a moment of gathering and reflection, with participants having the opportunity to share their experiences and explain the meaning behind their works. The exhibition attracted residents, young people, local associations, and curious visitors, becoming a starting point for a broader discussion on the transformative potential of art and photography.

In addition to the physical exhibition, the project gave rise to a Digital Gallery on Instagram, accessible to everyone and designed to continue spreading the messages that emerged during the project. This virtual space allows for keeping alive the experience of Capturing Voices, making stories and images accessible to an ever-wider audience.

Capturing Voices does not conclude with this exhibition but continues to live on through the images and connections created between participants and the community. Photography once again proves to be a powerful tool for inclusion, exchange, and transformation.
