The new dawn of the Paguro: footprints of the future
Today, the Paguro is a place where change is experienced every day. From a confiscated asset to an international hub for young people and activists, it is a concrete demonstration of how the past does not define the future, but inspires it to become something new.
Here, those who cross the threshold enter a dynamic environment, a crossroads of stories, ideas, and paths of growth. Once there were heavy silences; today, there are different languages intertwining, spontaneous debates emerging, and projects taking shape.
A reference point for European youth: The Paguro is much more than a hostel. It is a space where experimentation takes place, work is done, and connections are created that go beyond geographical boundaries.
Youth exchanges and Erasmus+: Every year, the Paguro hosts young people from all over Europe through Erasmus+ projects and intercultural exchanges. Here, people meet who share the desire to build a fairer and more inclusive present.
Workshops and training on active citizenship: Giosef Italy, which manages the Paguro, organizes training courses on active citizenship, social inclusion, education on rights, and anti-mafia culture. Each activity is designed to provide concrete tools for those who want to contribute to transforming the society in which they live.
Welcoming and new opportunities: The Paguro is also a place where one can feel part of something. It hosts volunteers, activists, social workers, and anyone who wants to engage in a context of exchange and collective growth.
Coworking and social innovation: Within the structure, there is a coworking space open to those working in fields related to communication, European project design, and social entrepreneurship. Where once there were closed rooms, today there are people collaborating, ideas being born, and projects growing.
The Paguro is the present that changes the future. Today, the Paguro is a reference point for those who believe in a supportive and barrier-free Europe. It is a vibrant place, nourished by the presence of those who pass through and transform it every day. The future here is not an unknown; it is a concrete possibility built through actions, relationships, and projects.
