The new Co-working Space

The Paguro inaugurates the new Co-Working Space

Casapesenna, April 7, 2025 – An important date for the Paguro Youth Center and for the entire community:
Paguro opens the new Co-Working Space, an open, functional, and inclusive environment designed to
welcome young people, professionals, designers, activists, and those looking for a place to work, create, and collaborate.

The space is located within a property confiscated from organized crime, now home to the EuroMediterranean Center and Youth Hostel. This is another step in the transformation process of this place: from a symbol of isolation and degradation to a collective hub of growth, innovation, and legality.

An important day. One of many.

At the inauguration, there were representatives from institutions, law enforcement, and journalists, who
visited the site, listened to the stories of those who live there every day, and observed with their own eyes
what it means to return a place to the community.

It was a beautiful day for Il Paguro, of course.
But just one of many: one of the many that we have been building with patience, consistency, and vision
for over ten years
. Because the daily work, away from the spotlight, is what truly makes every opening,
every new space, and every generative relationship possible

A space to create, work, and stay

The new Co-Working space of Paguro has been designed to meet the real needs of the people living in the
area
, but also to attract networks, ideas, and collaborations from all over Europe.

What the space offers:

  • Individual and group workstations
  • Fast Wi-Fi and printing services
  • A fully equipped meeting room
  • A break and relaxation area
  • And access by reservation with flexible options

The space will be open to everyone, with a particular focus on local youth, associations, project developers,
and international volunteers, promoting a new culture of shared work in an ethical, sustainable, and
accessible context.

A place that generates value

This new piece fits into the broader path of enhancing the confiscated asset in Casapesenna, initiated in 2015 and made possible thanks to the collaboration with Agrorinasce, an agency for innovation and territorial development, and the support of the Campania Region.

With over 150 young people welcomed each year from all over Europe, Il Paguro has become a vibrant
center over the years, capable of combining hospitality, training, civic activism, and intercultural dialogue.
Today, with the opening of the Co-Working Space, a new tool is added to continue generating relationships,
opportunities, and active presence in the territory
